Fujifilm has announced the launch of Hybrid Instant Camera – Instax Mini Evo. The camera combines the features and functionality of instant camera with digital image technology. The camera features 10 lens modes along with 10 filter options, giving a total of 100 different image renditions.
As per Fujifilm, the Mini Evo gives photographers the flexibility to decide what to print or share and/or store for later. Integrating these features into their traditional Instax cameras, gives photographers a “premium experience” which takes their instant photography to a different level.
The camera uses Instax Mini Film to create prints directly from the camera. Using the Instax Mini Evo Smartphone App, one can send the images to the phone.
The Mini Evo uses 28mm f/2 lens. As per the company, the camera comes with 10 integrated lenses. Fujifilm however clarified that these are not actual lenses but lens modes and do not change actual optics. They also did not mention about the type or size of sensor this camera uses. Combining these lens modes with 10 filter options, the camera creates 100 different image effects.
The camera also has 3” rear LCD screen, which is useful to browse through images to select them for print or sharing. One can also use it to change settings.
The Mini Evo has an inbuilt chargeable battery with a print life of 100 photos per charge. The Micro SD Card slot helps photographers to store images.
Along with this camera, Fujifilm has also announced the new Instax Mini Stone Grey instant film that offers better contrast compared to earlier white bordered look.
