GoPro has just launched a new beta software update for their flagship Hero 10 that introduces the support for 24P, 5.3K SuperView and Max Lens Mod.
GoPro Hero10 was launched in September and had some real top of the line features like 23 megapixel resolution, 5.4K video at 60fps and 40K at 120fps but it did not offer the most preferred 24p frame rate. This new update addresses the issue.
Apart from addressing 24p issue, the new update adds Max Lens Mod compatibility to this Hero10 increasing the field of view to 155 degrees. After the update, the Hero10 will also support Max Lens Mod along with the standard lens. But to use this mod , the photographer will have to swipe down on camera’s rear screen and tap the mod icon to activate it.
The new update also adds 24FPS as an option. Along with this, 30 and 25fps at 4K also have been introduced.
As a third major feature update, GoPro is introducing 5.3K SuperView Digital Lens. It is 16mm lens and captures 16:9 aspect ratio videos.
However the update is a beta and it cannot be accessed through the GoPro App. It needs to be manually updated to the Hero10.
To understand the whole process, please go through detailed step-by-step explanation.
Full features of this update can be accessed on the GoPro’s Website.
